Art & Culture In Data

Data analysis can just be as misleading and overwhelming as any other criteria to judge the health of an industry. With all its pros and cons, it’s the best existing tool to achieve some degree of objectivity around most matters. Everyone today needs to learn, recognize others and take decisions only after ‘getting their data right’. Stating the contrary would be naïve.

In order to improve this kind of research, the right metrics need to exist first. When looking at the data provided by the Arts & Culture industry in some reputed sources and institutions, we can see that some players are quite good at gathering data, others don’t have much of it at all, and great number manage data in unformalized ways which don’t allow it to be as useful as it could or don’t know what they can do to improve its use.

Starting in 2025, we kicking-off a project to help cultural organizations assess the value and real output of cultural projects, regardless of the topic they belong to. The task is far from simple, so we’re in the search of partners, sponsors and brainy partners. In this section we will be posting our latest developments, our breakthroughs and failures. Stay tuned.
